Adam and Luke are making a wigwam in the woods behind our house, the same woods that I sprayed for poison ivy a few months ago. They covered the sides with leaves. Can you see where we are headed here?

A rash showed up on Adam's face a few days ago, but a little hydrocortisone seemed to keep it in check...until this morning when it was swollen and his eye was almost half shut. So, we started our morning with a visit to urgent care to take care of it.

Later this afternoon, Luke and Rachel were on the roof of the storage shed while Adam was handing and tossing stuff up to them. Apparently he tossed something to Luke a little too hard and hit him in the head. Adam came and got me and I found Luke on the roof, bleeding from his forehead and very unhappy. He was in good enough shape to climb down on his own, as he did not want me to help him down. We bandaged him up, but decided later to take him to urgent care too, since the bleeding hadn't completely stopped. After waiting for two hours, he got his wound "super glued" shut. To pass the time, we worked on his spelling and reading with my Palm Pilot.

Luke's Birthday Weekend

This weekend we went to Tribesman Resort to celebrate Lukeâ€™s birthday. A great time was had by all. On Lukeâ€™s birthday, we got up at 5:00 AM, opened presents, including Super Doggy, Lukeâ€™s favorite present, ate apple pancakes made by Dad, read a little bit of Swiss Family Robinson on our deck in the Rain, swam in the indoor pool in the rain, went back to the room and ate lunch, read some Summer with the Moodys, took a nap went fishing (Adam caught a fish and a turtle, while Luke caught a fish), Rachel, Luke, Adam and Dad rode in a paddle boat, hunted for coins with metal detectors, went swimming in the outdoor pool, watched some HGTV shows, grilled some steaks, ate, read some Bible and more Swiss Family Robinson, and went to bed.
